DNA sexing does not require a chicken to reach a certain age or develop visible characteristics. Young chicks can be tested as long as a proper blood sample can be collected safely. Extra care should be taken with very young or very small chicks.

About All The Single Ladies DNA

After raising two adorable Silkies I believed were both girls, I unexpectedly found myself with two roosters fighting. If I had known their sexes earlier, I could have planned much better for their care and housing.

As I continued raising Silkies and Polish chickens—including my beloved Frizzles and Showgirls—I saw how difficult it can be to tell whether a young bird is a rooster or a hen. That inspired me to learn how DNA sex testing could help chicken keepers plan ahead.

My mission is to help you build your flock with confidence instead of being surprised later. From Clayton, North Carolina, I offer convenient testing and personalized support, including local help with sample collection when needed.
